Debbie Luxton-Keough
My name is Debbie Luxton-Keough. I live with my husband Darren, who is an engineer for JCB; my three children Alfie, born January 2005, Henry, born May 2007, Esme, born November 2011; and our cat Tabitha.

I’ve taken a slightly different route to becoming a childminder. I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 1996 with a BA Hons degree in Design. I worked as a Graphic designer for almost 10 years before the birth of my son in 2005.
Although I still do a little Graphic Design and have been working part time, I decided I wanted to spend more time with my children. I had considered childminding many times before, so when the opportunity arose to work alongside Kirstin it seemed the perfect time to take the plunge.
I have had first hand experience of trying to juggle parenthood and work and trying to find the best childcare for my children, so completely understand how difficult it can be. With this in mind I am one hundred per cent committed to working as a childminder and the children I look after.
To date my qualifications and training include:
GSCE Child Development Grade A
BA Hons - Design
Introducing Childminding Practice
Multi-Agency Child Protection Level 2
Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Baby Massage
Cooking with Children
AXS01
SEN Code of Practice
In July 2010 I was inspected by Ofsted and received an overall grade of 'Good' with several Outstanding areas. You can read my inspection report here.
