Kirstin Williams

My name is Kirstin Williams. I graduated from Exeter University in 2003 with a degree in Primary teaching. I worked as a Foundation Stage Coordinator and Nursery School leader between 2003 and 2008 at a private girls’ school in Somerset but decided to transfer my skills to become a registered childminder following the birth of our son.

I live with my husband Paul, who is an Avionics Engineer for Flybe, and our daughter Chloe, born February 2005, and son Sam, born December 2007. We also have a loveable cocker spaniel called Tiko.

Working with children is an integral part of my life and I am committed to offering each individual child the love and security needed to help them achieve their full potential. I aim to provide a caring setting where children are loved and are motivated to have fun and learn! As a working parent I have had first-hand experience of the worry and stress involved in finding the perfect childminder for my daughter. I am therefore aware of the care parents require and expect for their children.

In March 2009 I was inspected by Ofsted and was graded as Outstanding in all 14 areas! You can read my inspection report here.

As a Specialist Childminder in Early Learning children ages 3 and 4 are able to use their Government Funded hours with me. The government currently allows all children aged 3 and 4 years to have 15 hours of free early years education but parents must choose specially verified childcare providers. I am very passionate about working with children in the Early Years and therefore concentrate all my efforts into providing a stimulating learning environment for children under 5 years.
