I strive to maintain an environment where mutual and self-respect are encouraged, so that everyone feels valued.  

 

High standards of quality will be maintained and children will be urged towards independence while learning and playing in a nurturing setting.

 

I have been registered by Ofsted to care for 6 children under eight years old.  

 

I live in a 3 bedroomed house in the friendly town of Bradninch.  I have a good sized lounge designed for young children to play and have fun in!  This room opens out onto a large, secure garden allowing our play to be taken out in to the fresh air.  I have a kitchen/diner where we eat meals and do art and crafts and baking activities.  I also have a downstairs toilet which is totally child-friendly.  Children are able to sleep upstairs and use the toilet if needed however I do not allow minded children to play upstairs as a general rule.

 

I have created an environment which is warm and welcoming to children and parents. Each child is given their own labelled coat hook to help them feel at home and give them a sense of personal space.  

There are display boards for their creations and I display photos of their achievements and learning.

 

Children come first in my home and therefore it is organised to allow them the maximum space to play. My toys and activities are easily accessible to the children allowing them total independence in their choices.
